Chris Owen

After joining North in 2011 as sole corporate legal counsel, I developed an award-winning corporate legal team from the ground up, leading the creation and delivery of our strategy, service proposition and development plans.

As a member of NorthStandard’s Regulatory Leadership Team, I’m now responsible for leading our corporate governance and legal functions.

In my role as Group General Counsel, I work alongside an experienced team of senior lawyers, advising and assisting the club on all corporate, commercial and regulatory matters to ensure our activities meet all applicable laws and regulations.

I also oversee the work of the corporate governance team, who, among other duties, provide significant support to our member-facing activities and more than 60 senior executives sitting on the members Board.
