Thya Kathiravel

Originally hailing from Singapore, I worked for North for 27 years. I joined the club’s Freight, Demurrage and Defence (FD&D) department in 1996 before switching to underwriting in 2001.

For the last four years, I have been the Chief Underwriting Officer for the North Group worldwide – a role I’m now looking forward to continuing with NorthStandard.

As one of the largest clubs in the International group, we have the underwriting experience and expertise to provide an even broader range of cover that supports our members’ operations worldwide. The team and I are excited to help them unlock their full potential.

I also represent NorthStandard on the International Group’s Reinsurance Committee and am Chair of the Pooling Agreement Committee.
